Whatever your stage in life, therapeutic massage can assist you in moving toward optimal health and wellbeing. I come to massage with the intent that people can learn how to be less stressed and move with more ease in their mind, body and spirit. We just have to provide the opportunities. Massage is one way to repattern and achieve relaxation.
My massage credentials include: graduate of nationally recognized Body Therapy Institute, certified Pre & Perinatal Massage Therapist with Carole Osborne-Sheets, Body Therapy Associates, Bamboo-fusion therapist, ABMP member, and NC License #5345. I also hold a BA from High Point College in Sociology.
Becoming a mother brought me to massage. Visit Birth Transforms a doula and therapeutic massage service to find out more.
Come see me at the Peace Tree Village in Raleigh in addition to my studio in Durham.

Bamboo~fusion is an exotic, new modality that promotes a deep sense of relaxation and well-being for the client while allowing the therapist to provide a longer full body massage without the risk of fatigue and repetitive use injuries. The heated bamboo sticks glide easily across the skin, reducing tension and encouraging the body and mind to feel regenerated and revitalized.
This wonderful technique can be utilized during a table session and/or with chair massage. You must experience the warmth and relaxation of this technique to appreciate the luxuriousness of it.
For more in depth information, please visit our founder's website at www.bamboo-fusion.com.

Trauma Resolution Skills for Massage Therapists and other Health Care Professionals with Michael Shea, PhD on April 22-24, 2010 at Body Therapy Institute, Siler City, NC.
I'm looking forward to this workshop with Michael Shea in April. I'd like to be able to help clients safely release some of the stored trauma in their bodies. The effects of trauma, stress and/or emotional discomfort create dysfunction in our musculoskeletal system whether it's from our own births, a previous negative childbirth experience or from a traumatic life experience. Stay tuned Neuro-AffectiveTouch is coming soon!! |
